Yu Yureka Plus was the improved version of the company’s very first smartphone that was launched in the year 2014. The original smartphone was called the Yureka and had made its mark in the mobile scene due its impressive spec set that came along with the famous Cyanogen OS out of the box. The company made a few noteworthy changes to the Yureka’s display, construction and camera and launched it as the Yureka Plus for the same price. This bumped up version managed to acquire similar success.

The Yu Yureka Plus is believed to be the rebadged version of the Coolpad F2 4G and it seems it is true. The Yureka Plus features a traditional construction where you pop out the back cover to access the removable battery, sim and memory slots. On the front of the Yureka Plus is an improved 5.5 inch IPS Capacitive Touch Screen that has 1920 x 1080 pixels Full HD resolution. The pixel density of the screen stands at 401 pixels per inch and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection with oleophobic coating.
The phone is available in Moondust Gray and Alabaster White.
There were no changes made to the Yureka’s performance hardware and the same was carried forward by the Yu Yureka Plus. Under its hood is Qualcomm’s MSM8939 Snapdragon 615 processor. It is an Octa-core CPU that uses a Quadcore 1.7 GHz Cortex-A53 & Quadcore 1.0 GHz Cortex-A53 chip. The graphics and gaming duties are handled by Adreno 405 GPU. The phone gets 2GB RAM and 16GB of Internal storage. The storage can be bumped up by 32 gigs via MicroSD card.
Speaking of the camera that has been improved for better performance, selfies can be snapped by a 5MP Fixed Focus camera. At the rear is a 13MP AutoFocus camera with LED flash and is capable of recording full HD videos at 30fps. The phone is equipped with a G-sensor, Proximity, Light Sensor, and a Gyroscope. It supports Dual Sim capabilities.
The Yu Yureka Plus uses a 2500mAh battery that is claimed to provide a standby time of around 210 hours and a talk time of around 8 hours.
Yu Televentures roll out two version of the Yu Yureka Plus in the market – YU5510A and YU5510. The difference being that the YU5510A is preinstalled with stock Android 4.4.4 Kitkat whereas the YU5510 comes preloaded with Cyanogen OS 12.1 (Android 5.1)
