The Redmi Note 4 has been a worthy successor to the Note 3. The Note 3 has already set a benchmark in the mid-range android smartphone segment and has been an undisputed winner in many ‘bests’ lists. On a glance the spec sheet of the Redmi Note 4 seems to be at par with the Note 3 but in real time performance the Note 4 takes the prize due to a Deca core processor inside.

The fit and finish of the Redmi Note 4 is identical to its predecessor. Its metal unibody construction features a 5.5 inch IPS LCD display on the front. The 2.5D arc screen has a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a pixel density of 401 ppi. The maker’s emphasize on the visibility of the display under harsh lights as it is comfortably readable in those conditions as well.
The Note 4 is offered in Silver, Gold and Dark Grey colour options.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 is powered by a Deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC. This SoC is claimed to deliver 62% improvement in performance and is 30 % more power efficient than the Helio X10. It is coupled with Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. The phone is available with a combination of 2GB + 16GB ROM and 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM options. Both the variants support memory expansion up to 256 GB via microSD card slot available on the Hybrid Dual Sim tray.
Coming to the camera setup, the Redmi Note 4 gets a 13 MP unit with f/2.0 and phase detection autofocus at the rear. It is assisted by a dual-LED (dual tone) flash. The front makes do with a 5 MP unit that has an aperture of f/2.0. The sensor set on the phone include a Fingerprint, accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and a compass.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4 comes with Android v6.0 Marshmallow out of the box. It features MIUI 8.0.
This is the China-spec Redmi Note 4 that rolls out with a Deca-Core MediaTek SoC and not the India Spec version that gets the Snapdragon CPU. This Redmi Note 4 comes with a lot of improvements over the Redmi Note 3.
