The Moto G4 Plus was introduced with the regular G4 and it does not get a Plus treatment that we have seen on some other phones. The company has kept most of the hardware of the G4 and the G4 Plus identical, especially the CPU and GPU combination. There are still many advantages the G4 Plus carries over the standard model that sets it apart. A bumped up camera, more storage options, and fingerprint sensor are some of the differences that make you pay more for the G4 Plus.

On the visual front, the G4 Plus is almost identical to the regular G4 with the only difference on the front being the fingerprint sensor of the G4 Plus. The construction and dimension have been officially specified to be absolutely identical. The fit and feel of the two remain the same. So, we have a well-built phone that features a water resistant nano-coating for protection. The display unit comprises a 5.5inch FullHD screen with 401 ppi pixel density and 1920×1080 resolution.
The fingerprint sensor features 360-degree recognition. The G4 Plus measures 153mm in height, 76.6mm wide, and 7.9mm to 9.8mm thick (extra mm due to protruding camera lens).
The Moto G4 Plus is available in Black or White.
The camera setup has been improved on the G4 Plus. Instead of a 13 MP unit, the G4 Plus gets a 16MP main camera that uses a combination of Laser auto-focus and Phase Detect Auto-Focus. The aperture for the lens is of f / 2.0 aperture and the cam is accompanied by a Color balancing dual LED flash. At the front is the same unit as the G4 that is a 5 MP shooter with wide angle lens, ƒ / 2.2 aperture and display flash.
Powering the Moto G4 Plus is a Motorola Mobile Computing System that consists of an Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor and Adreno 405 GPU. The G4 Plus is available with two RAM and internal storage combination – 2GB RAM + 16GB ROM or 3GB RAM + 32GB ROM. Regardless of the variant, the G4 Plus features a dedicated MicroSD slot for memory expansion upto 128 GB. The G4 Plus also has to make do with a 3000 mAh battery with TurboPower support. The folks at Moto claim that 15 minutes of Turbo Power charging can give a usage of 6 hours
