Starting off with the, as LG likes to call it, Big Screen…That fits, it is a gorgeous FullVision 5.7inch Quad HD+ with a resolution of 1440×1880 pixels and an aspect ratio of 18:9. In order to make use of maximum surface area of the front, LG has stretched the display to the corners. While the bezels still remain, the forehead and the chin have shrunk in size. The screen to body ratio of the G6 is of 80.7%. The display gets HDR10 & Dolby Vision technology for enhanced experience. The G6, unlike the G5, gets a unibody metal construction. It is splash, water, and dust resistant.
The LG G6 is available in two colour options, Black and Platinum Silver.
Under the hood of the LG G6 is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 SoC. This QuadCore chip is clocked at 2.35 Ghz, and comes paired with Vulkan Graphics API. It gets 4GB RAM and an internal storage of 32GB that can be expanded upto 2TB via microSD cards. For some regional markets, LG will introduce a dual SIM as well as a 64GB variant.
Speaking of the optic setup, the LG G6 gets a dual 13MP main camera which features a standard 71-degree with f/1.8 aperture and a 125-degree wide-angle with f/2.4 aperture. Users can make use of the hardware to its full potential with the help of the manual modes. On the front is a 5MP selfie camera that sports a 100-degree wide angle lens and f/2.2 aperture.
For audio/video purposes, LG says that users can capture fuller, richer, higher-quality sound with the two high AOP mics and high-fidelity recording capability. The LG G6 gets a 3,300mAh embedded battery pack that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
LG G6 comes preloaded with Android OS v7.0 Nougat with LG Optimus UX UI laid on top.
