On the visual front, the Cool 1 looks like a LeEco baby. The design is identical to the other LeEco devices that we have seen so far. On the front is a 5.5inch IPS capacitive touchscreen with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and a pixel density of 403ppi. A front facing 8 MP camera, earpiece, and a proximity sensor are put upon the forehead of the phone whereas on the chin are three touch capacitive buttons. At the rear is the 13MP dual camera setup, dual LED flash. and a fingerprint sensor.
The volume rocker, power button are placed on the right of the metal frame and the sim tray is on the left. Well, it is a complete LeEco phone and we are still guessing what role has Coolpad played to have its name on the back of the phone. The phone is a LeEco product inside out.
Powering the LeEco Coolpad Cool1 is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 Octa core processor clocked at 1.8GHz. This Octa-core CPU uses a 4 x 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 & 4 x 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 micro-architecture. It features 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. For a few global markets, the Cool1 is rolled out with 3GB of RAM and also a 64GB storage option is available with the 4GB RAM variant.
At the rear of the Cool 1 is a dual 13 MP lens with f/2.0 aperture and uses Phase Detection AutoFocus. On the front is an 8 MP selfie camera that gets f/2.2 aperture. Supporting all the above-mentioned hardware is a 4,060 mAh battery that supports fast charging. The phone gets a Type-C 1.0 reversible converter.
The LeEco Coolpad Cool1 runs on Android OS v6.0 with LeEco’s EUI laid on top. A Nougat update for the Cool1 is in the works.
