Dubbed as the Coolpad Beast, the smartphone is priced at INR 10,999 and is exclusively available through Amazon.in for India. The phone is packed with an Octa-core Snapdragon processor, 4GB of RAM, and a huge 4010 mAh battery. The battery is claimed to provide 200 hours of standby time. The Note 5 has dual sim capabilities and Supports VoLTE.

The Coolpad Note 5 is a decent looking device. It features a standard looking design that has been adopted by a lot of phones of its segment. The overall design is pretty simple and neat with the placement of the primary camera, fingerprint sensor reminiscent to other phones. The construction integrates metal & glass. The aluminum unibody construction is fitted with a 2.5D curved glass.
The full metal chassis gets a bead-blasted back panel Upfront is a 5.5inch FullHD display with pixel density of 401PPI. The phone is available in two colours – Royal Gold and Space Black.
The CoolPad Note 5 uses the Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 MSM8952 SoC. This Octa-core unit is clocked at 1.5 GHz and assisting it is Adreno 405 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The 32GB internal storage can be expanded upto 64GB. Note 5 also supports USB OTG, and VoLTE. It is equipped with a hybrid dual sim tray that can house two sim cards or a combination of a sim and a memory card. The Note 5 is fitted with a 13MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera. Both these cameras feature 6 piece lens with f/2.2 aperture. While the rear gets a dual LED flash the front also gets an illuminating unit. The front flash is a big thumbs up!
Powering the aforementioned hardware is a big 4,100mAh battery that can provide up to 8hours of talk time and 200hours of standby. The company claims that the CPU and GPU of the Note 5 have been optimizeded to efficiently use the battery.
The Coolpad Note 5 gets Android v6.0 Marshmallow and features the company’s own Cool UI 8.0 on top.
This Note 5 is Coolpad’s attempt to take on the contenders of the lower midrange smartphone market. It is packed with all that you want – Octa-Core Snapdragon CPU, 4GB RAM, big 4,010 mAh battery, Fingerprint sensor, VoLTE support and more.
