This particular Zoom model is also said to be the world’s thinnest 3x optical zoom smartphone. As mentioned earlier this phone is said to be the world’s thinnest 3x optical zoom smartphone with an ultra-thin 5mm edge. The phone gets a metallic unibody crafted out of Aluminium with a premium leather finish at the rear. The maker states that the phone has undergone 201 intricate processes. In order to fuse the antenna bands into the ZenFone Zoom’s aluminium frame, the folks at Asus have applied a nano-molding technology (NMT). And to get the smooth finish the metal bezel has been put through 0.125mm hyperfine sanding process. Then the entire surface is anodized to prevent oxidization.
The Asus Zenfone Zoom ZX551ML is available in two colours – Black and White.
This camera centric phone gets a 5.5inch Full HD display with 1920×1080 resolution and 403 PPI pixel density. This display unit is protected by a scratch resistant Corning Gorilla Glass 4 and an anti-fingerprint coating. It supports GloveTouch input and Asus’s TrueVivid Full Screen Lamination technology.
Powering the Zenfone Zoom ZX551ML is the Intel Atom Quad Core Z3590 (up to 2 core running at 2.5GHz) SoC. This unit comes with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 4GB RAM, The internal storage offered on this device is of 128GB and can be expanded upto 128 GB more via MicroSD cards.
Coming to the USP of this camera-centric phone, the front is fitted with a 5 MP PixelMaster camera with Wide View and f/2.0 Aperture.
