A new leaked image of the upcoming Moto G5 Plus has surfaced online, days before the actual device is to be officially unveiled at the MWC 2017. A Google+ user from the Brazilian Moto G4 community has claimed that the device was with him for operator testing. However, upon being questioned further, he didn’t reveal much, but mentioned that the alleged device features FM Radio, Digital TV(Only for South America), and that the G5’s SIM slot has been changed to a nanoSIM, from the earlier microSIM slot.
However, if this particular image does belong to the Moto G5 Plus, it will quash earlier rumors that the phone will feature a 5.5-inch screen and a 16MP rear lens. The protective cover on the device’s screen suggests that the new Moto G5 Plus will feature a smaller 5.2-inch, Full HD screen and the rear camera will be a 12MP lens that will boast of instantaneous focus lock.
The square shaped fingerprint sensor has made way for an oval shaped reader and the Moto G5 Plus will now come with NFC. The power source will be a 3000 mAh battery that will support super fast charging or ‘Turbo Power’ in Moto speak. The Moto G5 Plus is rumored to be equipped with a 2.0 Ghz Snapdragon 625 processor that will be paired with 4GB RAM and 32GB of default memory. The phone is expected to run Android 7.0 Nougat Out-of-the-box and will feature a 3.5 mm audio jack and a microUSB port. Powered by the new Snapdragon 625 processor, the Moto G5 Plus should boast of better battery life and the phone will in all probability retain its USP of providing a near stock Android experience.
